SPSenvirowall’s Wall System 2 with 100mm mineral wool delivers a dramatic refurbishment for a regeneration scheme, a low-rise estate formed of a large three storey apartment block providing accommodation for Plymouth Community Homes.
SPSenvirowall’s External Wall Insulation (EWI) was specified for Plymouth Community Homes’ dramatic refurbishment of a block of flats on Torridge Way, Plymouth. The low-rise block of flats is a three-storey building providing homes for the client.
The aesthetics of the building have changed for the better with the application of SPSenvirowall’s white Granomin finish which has provided a modern and updated appearance to the properties.
Now the external walls of the building have a bright, welcoming façade which replaces the original and tired looking ‘brickwork’.
The Wall System 2 range of systems is designed to provide cost effective robust external wall insulation systems ideally suited for the refurbishment of social housing.
Utilising 1,000m2 of SPSenvirowall 100mm mineral wool, the thermal performance of the building on Torridge Way has been vastly improved with a u-value of 0.28W/ m2K and residents can now benefit from lower energy bills.
