Hightown’s flagship development on Maylands Avenue, Hemel Hempstead has brought two new modern buildings consisting of 130 new homes for local people who could not have otherwise afforded to rent or buy in the area.
It is a landmark statement featuring retail outlets leading to a public square between two blocks designed to look different using a similar pallet of external materials.
SPSenvirowall specified its TS Rail System with 200mm EPS and 1.5mm white EnviroSil silicone based through-colour textured façade finish for the mixed residential development for Hightown Housing Association.
Installed by approved installers, Build-Therm, the TS Rail System was specified for its lightweight, speed of installation and cost effectiveness as well as fulfilling the requirement for an NHBC approved system.
Fully NHBC compliant, the SPSenvirowall TS Rail system with EPS is installer friendly and uses an easy to fit fire retardant polystyrene insulant that has successfully been full-scale fire tested to be used on buildings over 18 meters.
Completed early in 2018, the attractive building features a striking white EnviroSil topcoat and is now available as affordable housing in Hemel Hempstead.
EnviroSil is an ideal choice for Maylands Plaza. As a pre-mixed, highly water repellent silicone based through colour textured finish, EnviroSil allows the façade to maintain its cleanliness via the natural cleaning process which occurs during rainfall, making it an ideal choice for the client to keep maintenance cost of its properties down and keeping their investment looking vibrant for years to come.
The building achieved a 0.13kW/ m2K u-value calculation and residents can benefit from thermally efficient homes in the heart of Maylands Business Park which offers a social hub and ten new shops in the area.
