The Newgate Centre, Newcastle is among the nominees for the North East Regional Large Scale Project category at the Energy Efficiency Awards in Durham.
Presented by Gary Braybrooke, CEO of the Energy Efficiency Association, the regional awards are awarded in the areas of energy saving, energy efficiency and quality of skills and services offered from nominees.
SPSenvirowall’s Wall System 1 offered a cost-effective solution for the framed and masonry structure of Newgate Centre, Newcastle, including a fast method of façade construction. Utilising 100 – 250mm mineral wool, it offered excellent acoustic properties, an A+ EuroClass fire classification and is an extremely thermal efficient insulation option.
Reaching a u-value calculation of 0.15 W/m2K the new build development is energy efficient and allowed the client to achieve the desired look for the local surroundings.
Winners will be revealed when the awards are presented at the Raddison Blu Durham on the 20th February.
