Started in June 2013, the Terrace Mount project in Bournemouth has been two years in the making and consists of a 172 bedroom 4 star Hilton Hotel with 14 exclusive residential apartments above, in addition to a 120 bedroom Hampton by Hilton and 45 units with an underground car park and landscaping.

The project utilised two of SPSenvirowall’s systems to achieve this modern landmark for the area. The customer required a full drainage system, a system which can be used over 18 meters and is fully fire tested, BBA certified with an NHBC warranty. Utilising SPSenvirowall’s 100mm Mineralwool direct fix and 100mm EPS TS rail, contractors McAleer and Rushe used 6000m2 of cladding to complete the development and fulfil the strict requirements.

Due to its location on the coast, Terrace Mount faced some challenges in its exposed location, there were occasions when materials couldn’t be offloaded due to high winds. SPSenvirowall’s excellent customer service overcame the issue by ensuring quality communications with the customer at all times to ensure delivery could take place at the quickest opportunity.

Minutes from the beach and even closer to the town’s vibrant centre, this development has truly redefined the town’s skyline and become a modern focal point for the area.
